Avanceon is a founding member of the Control System Integrators Association (CSIA), an organization consisting of hundreds of the world’s best system integrators. The founders of CSIA, system integrators themselves, knew that integration companies were often managed by people who possessed solid engineering talents, but lacked business and management experience. To give these companies a better chance of success and to ensure a better industry reputation in the marketplace, CSIA helped members develop effective business skills, established standards for sound business practices, and redefined CSIA’s role with input from clients and suppliers.
Avanceon is one of a select few CSIA members worldwide to have successfully passed a comprehensive, professional third-party audit measuring company systems and performance against CSIA quality standards. The key components of the CSIA Certification are financial, human resources, management, sales and project execution. Avanceon was one of the first integration companies in the world to achieve this certification and remains in good standing since 2000. Avanceon’s section and total scores for this audit were the highest in our history and among the top scores in all of the CSIA.
The CSIA Best Practices and Benchmarks Program instituted performance standards, established industry benchmarks, set measurement criteria and procedures for self-evaluation, incorporated mechanisms for continuous improvement, determined protocol for independent third-party audits, and won endorsements from industry users and manufacturers. OEM vendors such as Allen Bradley, ABB, Schneider Electric, GE Fanuc, and National Instruments regularly recruit CSIA members to support their most complicated equipment.
